Movies, tv, mayhem. Watch it. Review it. See it.

I have to start off with the intro. I don’t know if anyone else saw it where they were watching it, but the guy who plays Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde spoke at the beginning. I couldn’t remember for the life of me what he was in until he leaned forward and spoke like he did as Mr. Hyde. Ah that was a good show.
So. Sherlock. As expected, amazing. The whole phone call at the beginning was unexpected. I thought Sherlock was going to shoot the bomb while he and John jump into the pool. So “staying alive” was a surprise.
And I liked Irene Adler more then I thought I was going to. I was thinking that either 1) she was going to be smitten by Sherlock or 2) totally play him, though I was leaning towards 2. So it was refreshing for her to play at being smitten by him and then not be while all the while Sherlock knows she actually is. Almost as refreshing as Sherlock pretending to be unaffected while being showing that he was affected, to gather information to reveal when he appears unaffected. All culminating in being so affected he saves her life. (loved that twist by the way). But the again isn’t that what’s expected from Sherlock Holmes?
So I wrote down a whole bunch of quotes from the episode. Bits I found amusing. But really at the moment I’m just going to bask in the sheer wonder of the whole episode. Mmmmmmmmm. Good show. Details tomorrow? Yeah. Will do.
One last comment though. Loved the “I am SHER-locked” phone password. I thought it was rather clever. And “the ice-man and the virgin”. Hehe. Clever villains are great. Even if they are psychotic.

So. As a resolute Holmes fan I gotta say, I freaked out with the hat.

Well today is a busy day for new things. Avengers and now the new season of Sherlock starts. Of course when I arrive at Avengers my friend tells me that she has already watched the whole season online……Sigh. I had nothing to say to that…… And sadly I know how this season ends, though if you read the original books you can kind of guess.

Still I’m so excited. Frankly of all the shows I watch, Sherlock and Doctor Who tie. I guess I just like the British humor? Who knows. They are both great shows and even if I know spoilers from both of them (grrr to the people who told me), they should still have surprises and witty amusement. Yum, my favorite.

Anyway. Back to the excitement. So the last episode of season one ended with an exciting/annoying cliff hanger. Pool and snipers and bomb and Moriarty and Sherlock with a gun. (W:”I’m glad no-one saw that.” S:”Hmm?” W:”You ripping my clothes off in a darkened swimming pool. People might talk.” S:”They do little else.” hehehe) I can’t wait to see how it plays out. Should be good!!

Wow. Mind blown.

I just saw the Avengers movie today even though I really wanted to go earlier but, alas, I was busy.

But again. Mind blown.

See I’m usually a DC girl, particularly Batman (whoooo Dark Night Rises!!). But I have to say, Marvel really stepped it up with their movies. First off to have all the movies that just come together and make one totally off the charts movie, secondly the cast is great and thirdly, man I gotta drool over the Ironman suit. MechE dream come true.

And that’s usually why I like Batman. Ironman and Batman run a close race with their awesome gadgets but Batmans got the whole dark savior thing going for him. Doesn’t run the normal hero path. And then in the newest trailer. His car flies. I saw that and freaked out caused it looks amaaazing. “My mother warned me about getting into cars with strange men.” “This isn’t a car.”

And then Avengers starts. Oh look they have an aircraft carrier! Thats cool! Wait, now its a submarine?!?! Waaaait…… HOLY CRAP IT’S A FLYING INVISIBLE AIRCRAFT CARRIER!!!

Boooom. Batman blown out of the water.

Got to love the good movie. And for me, my favorites are the action, the science fiction, the dystopian societies. I’ll go for the occasional historical movie, and I do enjoy modern takes on the classic stuff. Sappy chick flix and romance movies? Not my style, though I am a girl.

Basically I want to start reviewing movies and shows I have enjoyed. Its really inspired by all the movies coming out this summer that I’m totally psyched for, just to let out my excitement and possibly get some people who are just as excited as I am.

So if you agree, or disagree or thing of something I would enjoy, let me know!
