Wow. Mind blown.

I just saw the Avengers movie today even though I really wanted to go earlier but, alas, I was busy.

But again. Mind blown.

See I’m usually a DC girl, particularly Batman (whoooo Dark Night Rises!!). But I have to say, Marvel really stepped it up with their movies. First off to have all the movies that just come together and make one totally off the charts movie, secondly the cast is great and thirdly, man I gotta drool over the Ironman suit. MechE dream come true.

And that’s usually why I like Batman. Ironman and Batman run a close race with their awesome gadgets but Batmans got the whole dark savior thing going for him. Doesn’t run the normal hero path. And then in the newest trailer. His car flies. I saw that and freaked out caused it looks amaaazing. “My mother warned me about getting into cars with strange men.” “This isn’t a car.”

And then Avengers starts. Oh look they have an aircraft carrier! Thats cool! Wait, now its a submarine?!?! Waaaait…… HOLY CRAP IT’S A FLYING INVISIBLE AIRCRAFT CARRIER!!!

Boooom. Batman blown out of the water.

Plus they have the whole humor thing down. The whole theatre laughs at the jokes because they are that funny. ( SPOILER ALERT : I mean the Captain America bet with Fury? The “genius billionaire playboy philanthropist” Tony Stark? Hulk punching Thor after they fight off a hoard of aliens and Thor flying across the room? Loki yelling at Hulk that they are all worthless then getting smashed into the floor? END ) Basically amazing.

And I haven’t seen that humor in a DC movie in a while. Green Lantern (which I actually did like, though I heard many people didn’t) was kind of amusing but it had that air of responsibility to it. That he had to grow up. Alas. Maybe Batman will be more amazing then expected.

All in all, I hope they make another. I’m kind of expecting it.
